Deconstructing “The Persistence of Memory”

Salvator Dalí’s painting, “The Persistence of Memory,” is an iconic work of art, most memorable for its contribution to the Surrealism movement. While deconstructing this piece, I discovered hidden objects within this landscape, like Dalí’s decomposing face drooping in the center, and the tribute to Albert Einstein's "General Theory of Relativity” seen in the liquified clocks. I used these details to conceptualize a collection inspired by the surrealist ideals, and more specifically, Dalí’s.
